 NaderM, just to ask the question, knowing that it was our fault to let
 this patch getting old.

 Would you be willing to update the patch? I just want to assert the
 ammount of developer work that it will take to include this change.

 Anyway I just skimmed over the patch and I think anyway, we (you or some
 of us) will need to split this patch in smaller self contained changes for
 easier review and commiting.
