 My company uses HipChat and I also would very much like this feature to be
 implemented. The lack of this makes the experience of using piding for
 HipChat annoying.

 Here is an additional annoyance currently experienced by multiple users:

 - When a colleague sends me an invitation to a HipChat chat room. I am
 prompted to accept or deny the invitation. If I click on Accept, I get the
 403 error described in the original feature request. I have to note the
 chat room name, search for it, and join it manually (making sure to erase
 the incorrect auto-filled username and replace it with my HipChat handle)

 Note that private / hidden chat rooms require an invitation to join
