Comment:

 There are no differences other than the chat room names having a - or not
 having a - in the name. They are all on the same conference server. They
 are all saved on my buddy list. On the buddy list the alias shows
 correctly for all chat rooms. In the chat window, only chat room names
 without a - display the alias correctly in the chat window. There are no
 error messages in the debug window regarding the chat rooms or their
 alias's

 This is from the debug window when I join a room that does not display the
 alias properly:
