#16983: Cannot Paste a 2nd URL from Web Browser on GNU/Linux
Reporter: ruwolf | Owner: EionRobb
     Type: defect | Status: new
Milestone: | Component: unclassified
  Version: 2.10.12 | Keywords:
I have the same problem as was reported on #10520.

When I copy 1st URL from web browser
1:45.0.1.deb1-1, i.e. firefox 45.0.1) and I paste it to message window of
pidgin, it is OK.br
But when I copy another URL from the browser and I paste it to the same
message window, (visible) text of hyperlink change to new, but its
(hidden, visible only by pointing cursor on it) "href" points to old, 1st,
web site.

It does not always happen. I cannot report when it appears and when it
does not, because I do not know it.

It is not problem of the latest pidgin, I have it for long years.

When I make "Paste as Plain Text", problem disappears.br
(When I paste it normally, then select link and make "Reset formatting",
problem disappears, too.)

I think I use neither special clipboard manager nor any desktop
environment; I have plain
JWM only.

It happens if I disable all plugins in pidgin, too.

I use the latest stable
Pidgin 2.10.12
2.10.12) "without support for unsafe and dangerous for privacy
on the latest stable Parabola
version 4.4.6_gnu-1 with CPU architecture x86_64.br
Pacman (the package manager of Parabola) reports me:br
glib2 version
gtk2 version
gtk3 vesion
(In "Help" -> "Build Information" of Pidgin, there is no info about
version of glib and gtk.)
