Comment:

 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.[[BR]]There's at least one [wiki:ThirdPartyPlugins plugin] that
 does this ("Window Merge").  I've never used it, but this is the type of
 thing that is best as a plugin and not in pidgin itself.
