 If its crashing, can you attach the %appdata%\.purple\Pidgin.RPT file.
 Also, try adding "GDI Objects" as a column in Task Manager->Details (by
 right clicking on the column headers, choosing 'Select columns', and then
 scrolling down to and ticking "GDI objects" (about 3/5ths of the way
 down).

 GDI Objects can leak over time, and windows has a 9999 object limit per
 process - certain things in GTK can make the leaks worse, but good to rule
 it out as a possibility.
