 If I use Sort Buddies --> By recent log activity, the order of my contacts
 isn't really by recent log activity.

 Logically, if I send a message to a contact, they should then bounce to
 the top of the list. What seems to happen is that all my contacts stay
 where they are (even when restarting pidgin). The contacts at the top are
 my most contacted contacts though, so there is definitely some kind of
 recent-log-activity sorting going on.

 In the Thunar file browser, if I sort by modification date, the log
 folders are put in the correct order.
