 Hey, im running ParrotOS (Debian), and since 2weeks pidgin crashes when i
 try to launch it. Everything is up to date. Reinstall did not solve the
 problem.

 when i try to launch it from terminal, i get this:

 Pidgin 2.13.0 hat einen Speicherzugriffsfehler festgestellt und
 versucht, eine Core-Datei zu schreiben.  Dies ist ein
 Fehler im Programm und kein Fehler von Ihnen.
