Comment:

 Firejail is preventing gdb from running pidgin so you'll need to inspect
 the core dump instead of using gdb. If you can attach the backtrace from
 the core dump that would help narrow down the crash

 The error log there seems to suggest something called libdc1394 doesn't
 have permissions to access a directory and that's causing pidgin to crash.
 Not sure what that is as it's not a part of pidgin. Could it be part of
 firejail?
