 This request is best implemented as a plugin.  Currently we as Pidgin
 developers are not interested in implementing it.  This ticket remains
 open as an invitation for someone to write a plugin fulfilling the
 request.[[BR]]A protocol plugin can decide not to open a conversation
 window to display self-sent messages by checking if there's a conversation
 window open already.  However, if the conversation window isn't opened
 then self-sent messages can't be added to any chat logs.

 There's a few use-cases for having a conversation window open for self-
 sent messages:
 * Starting a conversation on one device and continuing it on another
 * Uploading an image on your phone and then discussing it from Pidgin on
 your computer
 * Keeping a record of everything said within the chat logs

 Potentially someone could write a plugin that would 'block' new messages
 if they were sent from yourself (or had the _SEND flag applied) and if
 they would trigger a new conversation window to be opened.
