I am not a lawyer. If you want real legal advice from lawyers, we can
refer you to some.

You really shouldn't need the Skype icons in the first place. All you
need is a single icon to represent that you are the Skype protocol
plugin. The smileys, etc. have been standardized across protocols with
Pidgin.

The core doesn't have proper support for changing a single-user
conversation into a multi-user chat. If you want to do this properly,
you'll have to get your hands really dirty and fix libpurple to allow
for this case. This would be really nice as MSN is affected by this same
limitation.
