Text drag-and-drop from other applications

All,

Hi, I use Pidgin 2.4.2 on win32, and Pidgin doesn't seem to allow text
to be dragged-and-dropped into text areas -- say, the conversation
window or a password entry dialog.

I use KeePass to manage my passwords, and one of the nice features is
that you can drag-and-drop the password instead of having to use the
clipboard (copy-and-paste, which /does/ work).

I was wondering if this is a "feature" that Pidgin enforces (no text
drop), or if this is a GTK thing. In either case, is there a way to
enable foreign-application drag-and-drop in Pidgin?

Text drag-and-drop appears to work within the application itself (I can
highlight, then drag text from the conversation window into both the
"type here to send an IM" area as well as password dialogs, etc.).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, and keep up the great work!
