Yahoo and MSN interop?

Hello,

using 2.4.1 it seems I cannot communicate with a MSN user who I accepted 
on a YMSG account. As of protocol version YMSG15 Yahoo can interoperate 
with MSN and Windows Live but I am not sure if this is done in Pidgin as 
well.

any clues are welcome
