fwiw, my 2c: Pidgin stuff should be in pidgin namespace, gnt in gnt 
namespace etc. Unless there's a compelling reason otherwise, any app 
should be in it's own namespace and not spew itself everywhere if you 
know what I mean.

The breakage of API stuff... I'll leave that discussion to the real Devs 
and CPWs :)
