group text messages

Can I create a group buddy listing and then send text messages to 4-5 people
by just listing that buddy listing in the buddy name top line on the message
box from my computer? I am attached to Yahoo IM for Pidgin and sending text
thru my computer to the cells of friends..would like to only type some
messages once and send once to a group of buddies..is this possible and if
so how please.
