Pidgin Plugins

Hey,

I've recently been converted to Linux so assume that i know absolutely
nothing about it.

i downloaded a plugin pack for pidgin, one of the plugins is called
Listhandler, i downloaded the pack because i need to import some
contacts.

can anybody tell me what i need to do in order to install the plugin,
because it feels like i have just literally got a whole folder of files
and none of which i know what they do lol.
