Help Getting Connected

I have this same issue. I have checked all connections, reinstalled my
network adapter, unplugged the hardwired PC and my other wireless desktop
from my router so that the laptop I'm using isn't fighting for an IP
address, I disabled my firewall and I tried other suggested ports...No luck.
Like you, I tried on my other 2 computers and they installed, opened and
connected fine. Digsby game me the same error. By any chance, are you on
Vista 64? I think this may have something to do with it, but then again a
friend of mine is running 64 and she connected to Pidgin without a problem.
I have a thread here too on this topic, but nobody was able to help. Also,
I'd like to note that 2.4 was working fine on here and it was ONLY 2.5.5
that has this error. However, I need ICQ working, so going back to the older
version is not an option.
Any help would be appreciated and if you get any assistance to make this
work, can you please let me know what you did?
Thanks and good luck!
