status not changing to busy

Greetings!

I have one question about Pidgin. When i enter some application or game,
status on Pidgin doesn't change automaticly to Busy. As i recall, on much
earlier versions of Pidgin this ability was default. Can this ability be
turned on somehow? Can you help me?
