start a plugin of "finch"

hello,
    I want to start a plugin of finch, with ncurses layout(using
GNT?). okay, but actually i don't know how to get start to a
finch-plugin. it there any good tutorials or manuals about writing a
finch-plugin?(in addition, any good about the GNT? ncurses seems too
complicated)
