Help: localization of pidgin

Hii,
I am unable to localize pidgin for manipuri language
Manipuri ISO locale = mni and using scripts MM and BN.
i.e. mni-MM and mni-BN
It is not recognizing these two locales
I also tried with single locale mni with one script at a time, but it did
not work.
System also has font for corresponding language-scripts. Added entry in
pango.aliases to use the specified font.

Please help me with this. Which locale is to use? how to solve this problem.
