2FA with Facebook

Hello Pidgin team,

I have installed purple-facebook on Ubuntu 18.04. I have 2FA enabled on my
Facebook account. I tried using both my regular password and a generated
app password to log in, but Pidgin is unable to connect to the API via SSL
handshake.
Any thoughts?
