 No protocols default to showing yourself, some allow you to add yourself
 (AIM/ICQ), some do not (MSN), pidgin allows it on all the ones that allow
 it and fake it on the ones that do not (because people had trouble
 understanding the distinction). Adding further special-case code to pidgin
 isn't going to help clear up the situation.
