 Hmm, interesting - it's because of my OS. Before I forgotten to say that I
 have Windows XP x64 edition SP2. And this means that everything everywhere
 is divided into two categories - 64-bit and 32-bit (WoW emulated) (eg.
 "Program Files" and "Program Files (x86)"). This is true also for the
 registry, where the GTK+ entries are located at:
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GTK
 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\GTK
 2.0
