Comment:

 The concept of idle on MSN is pretty much the only place where it is
 handled as a "status" in the same sense as away.  Pidgin implements an
 idle timer method for protocols that support it, and most do.  Since MSN
 does not support being both away and idle at once, we use the logic to set
 "idle" after 10 minutes unless the user is already "away"

 This is not something that is going to change in Pidgin.
