#1444: Smiley dialog ordering does not follow theme file
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
 Reporter: SlakeMyThirst | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.0.1
Keywords: smileys ordering dialog | Pending: 0
-------------------------------------+--------------------------------------
The Pidgin smiley dialog is used to present a graphical list of the
smileys in the chosen theme. I and my chat colleagues share a customized
theme file with several dozen smileys. With Gaim, we had this list ordered
by most-used to rarely-used. Pidgin no longer maintains this ordering. (I
cannot say for certain when this change occurred.) Instead, it seems to
read them and build a data structure such that the first listed smiley
ends up in the middle of the list, the second is one to the left, the
third is one to the right of the first, fourth is two the left of the
first, etc. The end effect is an effective randomization of the smileys.

In short, please honor/maintain the ordering of the smileys/emoticons as
listed in the theme file when presenting in the Smile! dialog.
