Comment:

 I get 404: Remote server not found when I try to join a chat on
 conference.jabber.org or conference.pidgin.im.

 After connecting with auto-join enabled, my friend said it did NOT show me
 as present in the room.

 When auto-join is disabled I can join the rooms just fine.  Let me know
 what else I can do to help.. thanks!
