 For the record, we have had similar numbers of complaints over the change
 in the status UI and the change away from using protocol icons as status
 icons.  Both sets of complaints died within a few weeks as people got used
 to it.

 I wasn't around for it at the time, but I believe we had a ''larger''
 number of complaints when we abandoned GTK+ 1.x and moved to supporting
 2.0.x for our 0.60 release.  Those complaints also died off as time went
 on and GTK+ 2.x gained traction.
