 You cannot script the pidgin interface, you can script the shell. It is
 infinitely more important that shell scripts not break because of language
 differences than it is that pidgin users be able to use the same command
 everywhere. That being said, the point Mark was making is that pidgin
 should accept *both* the English and localized versions of the commands
 and arguments, which is a reasonable thing to allow people to do.
