 This happens multiple times a day with the regular pidgin install. With
 the debug install, I've only seen it happen once today so far. It seems
 pretty spontaneous and random but I believe it only ever happens when a
 message window is open (in my experience, it has only happened with AIM)
 and an IM conversation is occurring back and forth.

 It might not be an AIM issue but I can't be sure of anything. I use
 windows vista home premium with service pack 1 and all the latest windows
 updates.

 When it happens, the IM window looks really funky and all the text
 disappears and/or distorts before windows kicks in and pops up a button
 that says "close the program" or something.
