 More info: Trillian does not delete contacts if they are deleted from the
 server.  If a contact is deleted from the server list, Trillian keeps the
 contact in its own list, but labels it "Orphaned".

 So, what I did was this: I added the missing contacts in AIM, everything
 looked good. I checked Pidgin, again, everything looked good.  Then, the
 next day, I signed into Pidgin, the folders were a weird mishmash of what
 they were ''before'' the big add-back and ''after'', and about half of my
 contacts were gone.  I signed in to Trillian, and counted the Orphaned
 contacts (the ones missing from the server but still on the Trillian
 list): they numbered '''39'''.  How can almost 40 contacts disappear?
 Does anyone know why this is happening?  Thank you for your help...
