 I get "Ping failed" once or twice a day. This might be caused by ADSL
 changing IP numbers or someone stomping on a network cable somewhere. My
 buggy WiFi tends to disappear and reappear once a while.

 In any case, I want pidgin to alert me about network problem only after
 couple of attemps *and* couple of minutes.
