Comment:

 Can you check the file blist.xml in your
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/ConfigurationFiles .purple-Directory]
 whether the buddys are twice in this file, too. [[BR]]
 Did you have an older version of pidgin/gaim installed? check if there's
 maybe another folder like .pidgin or .gaim and delete it.[[BR]]

 You can also delte your blist.xml and try again. Note, that this will
 delete all you localy applied alias, groups and buddy ordering between
 accounts.[[BR]]
 These are the only ideas i have to solve this.
