 The problem is we can't know which XMPP services need SRV lookups to work
 and which don't. Yes, we could hard-code that knowledge about Google Talk
 but we couldn't about any Google Apps For Your Domain (or similar)
 service, and I don't much like that idea anyhow.

 For the record we do have a

 FAQ entry] about the SRV issue with Google Talk/Apps services. Though it
 could probably stand to have a note added about adding the connect server
 back if changing your DNS server doesn't work/isn't an option (feel free
 to add it if you like).

 Additionally, we know our support for SSL certificates is not always the
 best so if you have any other specific issues please report them.
