Comment:

 After installing Bonjour I started the Pidgin Messenger and it worked just
 fine. The problem appears to be with the libbonjour.dll in the plug-in
 directory of Pidgin not with any other program. The second I removed it
 Pidgin worked. My guess is the problem is with the plug-in in Pidgin.

 Why does Pidgin install the Bonjour plug-in in the first place? What
 requires it? Are you absolutely sure that the component that requires it
 is not hanging? The accounts I have are in AOL and Google Talk, could one
 of those be responsible? I know you guys are the experts, but I figured I
 would offer a few suggestions!
