Comment:

 Right now (Pidgin 2.5.8) SCIM happily grabs those hotkeys for itself. I am
 not sure what and where have changed. I use Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn for switching
 between tabs as that is the same as Firefox, etc. use.
 The hotkeys in SCIM are needed to switch to simplified Chinese input and
 half-width punctuation, so I basically use them every time I start typing.
 There indeed is an issue with defaults in SCIM, but at least one hotkey is
 needed, which I would like to leave as is.
