 if I understand what you're saying correctly, then yes. The
 "transform...into pidgin" throws me off a little bit. I'd have said "a way
 to *insert* literal html text ... into pidgin and have pidgin interpret
 the html as formatting instructions ..."

 But this would probably have to be done through a separate dialog rather
 than typing formatting instructions directly into the conversation entry
 box.

 PS in the action I can only choose "leave as pending" or "resolve as". Not
 sure how to unpend this if it's not automatically done on submit.
