 I hope you could revisit your judgement. "The tray icon blinking
 preference..." ...the contextual location of a preference is in
 Preferences dialog too? Also, please see how other applications behave
 (blinking on by default?, blinking option in preferences?), since even
 thought it might not be the best solution some things have history weight
 and people have used to the way how application behave.
