 This may be the same bug that I am seeing, using Pidgin 2.6.2 on Windows
 Vista 64-bit.  (Downgrading to 2.6.1 exhibited the same behaviour.)

 I have two accounts that I use to log in; the preferences for both appear
 to be set identically (other than passwords, of course).  Let's call then
 "A" and "B".  I sign in as invisible, and I can see my online contacts for
 both accounts.  However, when I shift to Available, only "B" is visible to
 the contacts list.  Furthermore, messages sent using "A" are not delivered
 to the recipients.

 Various fiddling around involving disabling and re-enabling "A" then
 appears to cause things to be proceeding satisfactorily.  Thinking back on
 it, although I am not certain, I believe that in all cases where things
 started working again the status had been set to available, then the
 account disabled, then re-enabled, which would fit the hypothesis
 described by Gizmokid2005.  The existence of a second working account is a
 new wrinkle in my case, though.
