 this is the same as bug #58, except that it is not fixed.  I have
 attempted to download the most recent version of meanwhile from
 sourceforge and substitute it in for the libsametime.so file in
 /usr/lib64/purple-2 and it did not work at all (sametime protocol was no
 longer available as a selection in account information).

 There is no libmeanwhile on my system.

 Running CentOS 5.3 with Pidgin 2.5.9-1.el5 (libpurple 2.5.9).
