 ''We definitely don't need both alt-# and ctrl-#.'' Hmm, I realy like the
 Ctrl+# of firefox. Most shorcuts of pidgin seems to use Ctrl instead of
 Alt. I may really appreciate that both could be implemented.

 for them to work?'' Ctrl+# & Ctrl+Shift+# works in firefox. Alt+Shift+#
 works in pidgin. But Alt+# doesn't work in pidgin. Even if I'm developer
 too, I didn't have the opportunity to implement shortcuts using the
 numeric keys that differs on every keyboard.

 The fact is, Alt+Shift+# is too hard to be used on a azerty keyboard.
 Even if you don't want to implement Ctrl+#, please try to find a way for
 azerty keyboards (and others) to make Alt+# working.
