Comment:

 The crash report is generated by an exception handler, so it isn't a
 matter of it not getting far enough.

 Did you look in `C:\Users\v-rycor\AppData\Roaming\.purple\pidgin.RPT`?

 Do you have Visual Studio interrupting the crashing process with its own
 debugger or something that is preventing the crash handler from getting
 called?

 Unfortunately, with the information that I have, I don't see any good
 suggestions on how to figure out what is wrong - is there something that
 is similar about all these environments that is non-stock (virus checker,
 firewall, something that is installed, etc.)?
