 The "Local Port" in the Pidgin Bonjour account is actually a TCP port, not
 a UDP port.

 I'm not aware of any diagnostic tools for mDNS on Windows.

 I did some testing on "virgin" Vista machine that I had access to that has
 the firewall enabled and it does appear that the Bonjour 2.0.2 installer
 does not set up the Windows firewall adequately for this to work.  When I
 disabled the Windows firewall, everything suddenly worked magically.
