 @ayanc, I built packages for Pidgin 2.6.6 (for Ubuntu 9.10 karmic) and
 uploaded them to Launchpad: https://launchpad.net/~lenski/+archive/pidgin-
 gss

 Anyone should be able to install these in Ubuntu now.

 I've also attached the slightly updated patch that applies cleanly to
 Pidgin 2.6.6.

 Still haven't worked out the tray icon update bug, though.
