 I have a bad connectivity with a low bandwidth and occasionally severing
 connections to any site. However, Pidgin behaves worse than acceptable,
 often hanging completely, with no means of having it back other than 'kill
 -9' and restart.

 Attached is output of GDB attached to a hung process ('thread apply all
 bt' and 'thread apply all bt full'). In this case it hang after a while,
 with some IRC channels open. Sometimes it gets stuck even before opening
 anything.

 I can produce more information if directed.
